Brianna D.
Nurse Practitioner
I originally began my academic career pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Sacramento State because of my interest in prioritizing mental health in my community. It was during this time I discovered the role of a nurse practitioner (NP). The NP role is a beautiful blend of medicine and nursing with a focus on the biopsychosocial wellbeing of patients. I knew this career was perfect for me so I enrolled at the Azusa Pacific University campus in San Diego and completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. While continuing on to pursue my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) to become a NP, I worked as a cardiac PCU registered nurse (RN) at UC San Diego Health and a per diem plastic surgery RN.
As I learned more about the field of aesthetics, I realized my passion was in this subspecialty where art and science join together to make a difference that is so much more than skin deep. I secured a placement at Scripps Cosmetic Dermatology and Laser in the final clinical rotation of my MSN program where I learned about a variety of procedures, including neuromodulator injection, filler injection, sclerotherapy, PDT, laser wart removal, and non-ablative laser treatments.
When I graduated with a MSN and became a NP, I knew I wanted to make my way back home to Northern California to train at the premier medical spa known for their impeccable quality of care, Destination Aesthetics (DA). I was hired on as the newest NP of the DAG family to continue my training with the expert injectors you know and love at DA.
I’m committed to continuing my education to provide you a safe and high-quality level of aesthetic care. I am board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). I am also an active member of the AANP and Dermatology Nurses’ Association (DNA).
If I am not in the office, you can find me hiking in Tahoe, boating on the river, running, painting, reading a psychological thriller, “brunching”, binging reality TV, or decorating for the nearest upcoming holiday.
